The Common Reader

Readers, take a moment to glance over this article titled Narcissus Regards a Book by a professor at the University of Virginia named Mark Edmundson. This is a very interesting and thought provoking article. Namely, the question is what constitutes a good book? Is it good if it makes us feel good? Or is it considered good only if it ranks among the classics of the likes of  Blake and Milton? Hmmmm….sounds like a good foundation for an excellent debate! :)
