Google Strikes Book Scanning Deal in France

Without a doubt, e-books have become a very important method of reading in our contemporary culture. It therefore makes sense on some level that Google has started a book scanning project which is meant to scan and provide, via e-book form, literature from all over the world. Unfortunately, this project has hit a lot of bumps recently as many groups are claiming it violates copyright laws. But not to worry, according to this article if there is one place in the world where you can obtain any work of literature through Google’s book scanning project it is France. French publishers have struck a deal with Google which will have the added benefit of bringing back to life many works that have been out of print for years. That is definitely something to smile about! Hopefully other countries will follow suit! :)
