Edgar Allan Poe's Baltimore Home Re-Opens

EAPOur Month of Horror in a lot of ways is really a month to celebrate Edgar Allan Poe – our recent Edgar Allan Poe poster release should be some proof of that – and we’ve been doing our best to acknowledge Edgar Allan Poe as we’ve navigated through this scary, scary month! But I thought it might be nice to save some of the best for last, and hopefully you’ll find it worth it. Early this month, Edgar Allan Poe’s house in Baltimore re-opened in a ceremony which included the exchanging of a stuffed raven. This is good news after budget cuts had forced Baltimore to shut the Edgar Allan Poe House and Museum down. Luckily, this state of affairs didn’t last for long and less than a year later Poe’s house is up and once again open to the public! Exciting stuff! Now I wonder if Poe’s ghost will be back to haunting his former home – what do you think? ;)
