There's been much discussion on Reddit about whether "low literature" is beneficial to young readers or not (seeing that they are usually the target demographics for these kinds of novels). I am with the notion that any book reading is good. Sure, there are some horribly written books with terrible grammar, plot and character development but it's important that every developing mind receives various kinds of mental stimulation.
At least these books have people reading and not passively staring at moving pictures.
