It took a while to decide on the final version for The Great Gatsby but it is done now! We decided to have Gatsby raise up only one arm towards the green light, instead of two according to the text, "But I didn't call to him, for he gave a sudden intimation that he was content to be alone - he stretched out his arms toward the dark water in a curious way, and, far as I was from him, I could have sworn he was trembling."
This was an aesthetics decision since it looked odd having a tiny arm sticking out of Gatsby's head. What do you think? We would like to have your input on this, so we can make changes that'll make this poster perfect. The Great Gatsby (24x30" - 61x76cm)
The Great Gatsby poster is created using the entire text of the book.
The Great Gatsby is arguably Fitzgerald's finest work and certainly the book for which he is best known. A portrait of the Jazz Age in all of its decadence and excess, Gatsby captured the spirit of the author's generation and earned itself a permanent place in American mythology. Jay Gatsby's rise to glory and eventual fall from grace becomes a kind of cautionary tale about the American Dream.
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes poster is created using 10 of 12 short stories in the series.
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is a collection of twelve stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, featuring his famous detective. In this poster, the following short stories are used for text:
- A Scandal in Bohemia
- The Red-Headed League
- A Case of Identity
- The Boscombe Valley Mystery.
- The Five Orange Pips.
- The Man with the Twisted Lip
- The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle
- The Adventure of the Speckled Band
- The Adventure of the Engineer’s Thumb
- The Adventure of the Noble Bachelor
