In many ways, author George Orwell was a man ahead of his time. Very few have not heard of his famous dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four which at times has been considered as an almost prophetic book of things to come. Today, we have seen some of the concepts present in his novels come to life as we watch history being made. So what better way to honor the man who was considered one of the greatest journalists of his time than to set up a statue in his honor outside the BBC headquarters in the UK? Unfortunately, Orwell has been deemed as too left-wing for such and honor. Could it be that more than half a century after his death, Orwell is still a man too advanced for even our time?
